ANGHARAD COOPER
Cultural Consultant and Coach
ABOUT ME
I am a UK and France-based consultant, coach and facilitator working with artists and organisations across the culture sector to develop artistic projects, increase impact and facilitate change.
Consultancy and coaching reflect my joint fascination for both the conditions in which creative work is made, as well as the creation of spaces, 'real' or virtual, where new thinking and ideas can flourish.
I am Chair of Soundmix, the London-based charity providing weekly music-making sessions for young unaccompanied refugees and asylum seekers, and Trustee at ClassicalREMIX, a collective of composers, musicians, writers and performers, reimagining historical music.
From 2013 - 2018, I was project lead for the British Music Collection,
the UK's national archive for experimental music.
I am a mentor for the Women of the World Foundation and have spoken on themes including music curation, music archives, and diversity at RESIST Festival (Belfast, 2018); Music Tech Fest (Berlin, 2018), TATE Modern Collecting and Curating Sound Conference (London, 2019), Outlands Festival (Milton Keynes, 2020) and Drake Music ‘Emergent’ festival (Zoom, London, 2020).
TESTIMONIALS
'I've never had a coach before, and didn't know what to expect. Happily, Angharad's an excellent listener, a super smart thinker and was really able to help me gather and structure my thoughts. She comes from a place of understanding the sometimes random nature of creativity, and I'd highly recommend her to anyone looking for a sounding board for ideas big or small.
Lloyd Coleman, Artistic Director (Paraorchestra), composer and broadcaster
'Angharad is an exemplar of integrity for the coaching and consultancy industry. In the time that I’ve been working with her, she has helped me turn thoughts into strategic actions that have led to positive life results. As my coach, her approachability, calmness, intellect and insight helps me to focus on actions that sustain and build on my passion for (as well as my contribution towards) music and the arts. I highly recommend working with her.'
Dike Okoh, songwriter, producer, playwright and teacher

Hayley Skipper, Centenary Culture and Engagement Programme Lead, Forestry Commission England
'Having Angharad as my coach enabled me to process my thoughts in a way I had been unable to do by myself. Problem solving the real issues as to why I was struggling, to focus on what I needed to do to move forward with my music. I'm now on the right path and looking forward to progressing further, sooner.'
Graham Prior, Guitarist and Songwriter

'Though I had never worked with a life coach before, it had been something in the back of mind for years. What I thought would be a one-off discussion has turned into us working together monthly and I can genuinely say it has greatly influenced my life. Angharad helped me figure out what it is I should be doing with my life in order to feel aligned with my passions, and in only a few short sessions we've been able to map out a strategy to get there. I would highly recommend working with her if you are given the chance!'
